Saramma Varughese, aged 88, beloved matriarch, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully passed away on March 25, 2026. She was the wife of the (late) P. T. Varughese of Mylapra.

Born on October 5, 1937 in Ranni-Perunad, Saramma lived a life rooted in faith, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Saramma was a woman of remarkable warmth and compassion. She built meaningful connections wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Over the years, she lived in Ponmuddi, Seethathode (Pathanamthitta), Mumbai, New York and Dallas, becoming an active and beloved presence in each of these communities. Her kindness, hospitality, and genuine interest in others allowed her to touch countless lives.

Saramma is lovingly remembered by her children: the (late) Molly Jose, Sally Soman, Joy Varughese, and Regi Varughese; her sons-in-laws and daughters-in-laws: Jose Thomas, Soman Geevarughese, Alice Joy, and Jessy Regi; and her cherished grandchildren: Stincy Agnel, Sherin Siby, Renita Ajay, Shemmy Sanu, Renil Joy, Shalet Regi, and Shanjez Regi. Great grandchildren: Sarah Agnel and Gianna Agnel.
