Reynaldo Nunez

Reynaldo (Ray) Nunez, age 72 years, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.  He was born on February 7, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas to Consuelo and Johnny Nunez.

 

He attended Cotton Center High School where he made lifelong friends.  In his 20’s and 30’s he started a career in construction and in 2016 he started working with his brothers, Rudy, Albert, and honorary brother, Greg Minton, at Coldwater Plumbing Services, Inc. as a job site foreman.

 

Ray met the love of his life, Nancy Nunez, in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1984 and then in 1994 married in Dallas, Texas.  Together they built a loving home and raised three children in Garland, Texas.

 

A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and friend who could always be counted on, Ray cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He was known for his warmth, his steady presence, and his unwavering support for his family.  Devoted to his faith, he attended St. Pius X Catholic Church regularly.  Ray was also a loyal and enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoying countless games surrounded by his brothers, family, and friends—moments he treasured deeply. 

 

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Nunez; his sons, John Arthur Nunez and David Ray Nunez; his daughter, Brittany Redford; and his grandson, Aidan Redford; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Willie Sosa; sister, Lydia Nunez; brother, Rudy Nunez; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Angela Nunez; along with countless nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Consuelo and Johnny Nunez; his brother Johnny Nunez, Jr; and his sister-in-law, Tina Nunez.

Ray will be greatly missed I will miss following his family functions vacations and even his time at work his posts on Facebook always made me smile and brought me joy He certainly never forgot anyone he went to school with had as a friend or anyone that he crossed paths with. I send my condolences & prayers to everyone who was close to Reynaldo, he used to give me rides home from school because i knew aiden and he taught me how to ride a bike n i always had respect for him. Its sad to see him leave but at least he was a great person while he was here and is in a better place.

My heart breaks for all of Ray’s loved ones. I love for Nancy to come to work after a weekend road trip or other events they often loved to attend with videos and pictures of her and Ray’s activities.
