Naomi Ruth Edwards
On December 24 2025,
Naomi Ruth Edwards passed from this world into the next to
be with our heavenly father. Naomi was a bright light taken
from this earth much too soon. She lived inside her own
heart. She had a love for life and a love for people and all
animals. She had the brightest light of a soul anyone ever
could have from the soul within her, and when you stood
under it with her you couldn’t help getting a wonderful
feeling. Naomi was very headstrong and would not take any
flak from anyone. You could not find a more caring young
lady. She loved to play volley ball and was an excellent
player, in spite of her short stature. Naomi loved her fugally
dolls and Toshein dolls and stuffed animals.
She hated drama and would avoid it at all costs. Naomi had a
beautifully complex personality. She always showed
toughness in any situation, but was a delicate flower also.
Organized in every aspect of her life, she could not stand an
item out of place in her room. Her heart was huge and
feeling for most everyone she came into contact with. When
she was born the doctor and all the nurses in the delivery
room said she looked like an old soul and looked like she had
been here before and has a lot to say. Her mother delivered
her herself, without the doctors assistance. At three years
old, her mother put blocks on her tricycle pedals to help her
reach the peddles. “Take them off mama. I’ll get there when
I get there, Naomi said.” Naomi was very headstrong and
determined when she had a goal to accomplish. She was up
front and said whatever was on her mind. Naomi loved to
draw and paint small paintings. She loved music and her
music tastes were very varied but mostly she liked rap music
pretty much like all of her peers. Naomi was the first to tell a
joke and ALWAYS THE FIRST TO END THE JOKE. She is gone
and will be listening to music in heaven. Naomi was the best
sister anyone could have asked for and more. She was loyal
and protective but had the most pure heart especially when
it came to her family and pets. Unfortunately family friends
and pets will have to go on without her. She will be missed
And cherished forever. She was survived by her parents
James Edwards and Amy Thornton, sisters Evy Edwards and
Amy Meador and husband Brad Meador, Uncle Tom (T)
Edwards, Aunt Nelda Edwards, and cousins Chris Edwards
And wife Sharon Edwards, Jackie Fields and husband Jeremy
Fields and a host of second cousins.

Very sorry for your loss. While I did not know Naomi well, I knew her family well. I think she was taken from us too soon, full of youth and life, and our prayers will be with the family and also Naomi. I am thinking that she is with her family in heaven, home with the Lord Jesus.

Naomi was the one person who could always make me smile. She was a true friend to me and can never be replaced. I’m sorry for the loss of a beautiful young lady at suck a young age. She was the most loving and caring individual I know. She will always hold a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten. Love always Barry

My heartfelt condolence goes to the Edwards family. O God of spirits, and of all flesh, who has trampled down death, crushed the power of the devil, and granted life to your world, do thou yourself, O Lord, give rest to the soul of your servant Naomi Ruth Edwards who has fallen asleep, in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, where there is no grief, sorrow or mourning. Forgive every sin which she has committed in word or deed or thought, for Thou art a good God who loves mankind. For there is no one who lives and does not sin; only Thou art without sin; Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Thy word is truth
