Helena Frances Evans, 93, of Garland, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2025, at Garland Serenity Home. She was born on March 4, 1932, in Texarkana, Texas, and retired from Sears after many years of service.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Mason of Garland, TX; two grandchildren, Chris Curiel and wife Tamitha Curiel of Dallas, TX, and Lauren McMahon of Garland, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Chaz Curiel of Dallas, TX, Caleb Curiel and wife Kat Curiel of Dallas, TX, Chloe Curiel of Austin, TX, and Paisleigh McMahon of Garland, TX; and one great-great-grandchild, Lilah Curiel of Dallas, TX.

She is also survived by her brother, Claire Hannon Jr. and wife Theresa Hannon of Temple, TX; and by her nieces, Lisa Hannon Zajicek of Lubbock, TX, and Jennifer Hernandez of Temple, TX.

 

Helena will be remembered for her deep love of family and the countless hours she spent caring for them.  Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.
