Connie Lynn Prewitt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Lynn Prewitt, beloved
wife, mother, family, and friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 72 on July 5, 2025,
surrounded by her family.
Born on January 13, 1953, in Dallas, Connie was a lifelong resident of the area. She
married her love at first sight, Timothy Lane Prewitt, in 1973, and together they built a
warm and loving home filled with laughter, kindness, and generosity. Connie was a
dedicated and loving wife and mother.
As a mother, her two children, Scott and Sarah, were her world. She instilled in them the
values of unconditional love and hard work. Connie’s support was unwavering, whether
she was guiding their education with rides to school, helping with homework, or trips to
the library; offering words of comfort during tough times; or sharing in the joy of their
accomplishments. Her children were her pride and joy, and she was their greatest
cheerleader.
Connie was also a cherished friend to many. Whether hosting gatherings at her home,
or lending a listening ear, she always made those around her feel special. Her vibrant
spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of
knowing her.
Connie’s passion for life was evident in how she lived. She loved hosting game nights,
chatting and laughing with family and friends, caring for her animals, and crafting loving
memories with her family. Her zest for life and tender heart touched the lives of
everyone she encountered.
Connie is survived by her husband, Timothy; son, Scott; daughter, Sarah (and her
partner, Steve); and two grandchildren, Crystal and Elena; aunt, Linda; nephew Kevin (and his wife,
Martha, and daughter Kaitlyn). She also leaves behind a wide circle of friends and
extended family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of life service will be held at her home church, Macedonia Baptist Church,
2214 Franklin Drive, Mesquite, TX 75150 on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11 am with a
time of fellowship to follow.
Connie’s heart of joy will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She was
truly one of a kind, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on forever.
