Our beloved mother, Rtd. PHN Lillykutty Mathen, was born on April 17, 1936, in Kodukulanji, Alappuzha District, Kerala, to Mathen and Achamma.

Lillykutty was a woman of deep faith, strong conviction, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was strong-willed, independent, and never afraid to speak her mind. A natural leader, she carried herself with confidence and determination and was someone others could depend on. Her strength and determination shaped the family she loved so deeply.

She found joy in the simple blessings of life. She was an avid gardener who took great delight tending to her plants, and she had a special love for cats. She was also a leader and active member of the Kaliyankal Velliyavettil Kudumbam, where she valued family, tradition, and community. Her strong presence and willingness to take responsibility made her an important part of the family and community around her.

Lillykutty and her husband, the late P. O. Oommen Ex Hon Nb Sub , were faithful and active members of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral Church, Puthencavu. Her faith remained an important part of her life, and she will be remembered for the love and devotion she showed to her family, church, and community.

She is survived by her son, Santhosh P. Oommen, his wife, Annie Santhosh, and their children, Joel P. Santhosh and Jeslin P. Santhosh.

Lilykutty passed away on September 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Though we deeply mourn her passing, we give thanks to God for the gift of her life and for the many years, memories, and blessings we were privileged to share with her. Her love, faith, kindness, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
