Arlen Dale Brown, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Garland, Texas on Friday, April 17, 2026, surrounded by his beloved mother and friends.

Arlen was born on August 5, 1955 in McMinnville, Tennessee.  He is survived by loving mother Harriett Brown, sister Rhonda Worley, and extended family in Tennessee. Preceded in death by father, Jimmy Mack Brown and loving grandmother Decla McCorkle.

Arlen attended R. L. Turner High School and graduated from the school of hard knocks. He had a variety of training in trade schools where he gained a passion for mechanics that followed him throughout his life. In his early years, Arlen worked for local companies but his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business. As a contractor specializing in paint and texture, his reputation became known throughout the State of Texas.  But, his  true passion was his Harley motorcycles and classic cars. Arlen filled many days with quality time on motorcycle trips and in his garage restoring old cars with friends. He enjoyed a variety of  music, hanging out with family and friends, eating, and being the center of attention. Recently, Arlen renewed his faith instilled by his mother and grandmother.  Arlen lived a full life, full of life, loved by all blessed to know him as neighbor and friend. His unconditional friendship was his trademark.

Viewing in lieu of memorial service will be Friday, April 24, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Home, 1910 Eastgate Drive, Garland, Texas 75041.
