Isela means “rock,” “unique,” and “devoted to God.”
That is exactly who she was. She was the rock for so many of us—meeting our needs,
celebrating with us, and walking through everyday life by our side. She showed up
because the joy of the Lord was her strength. She ran her race with endurance and
finished it well. She was so full of joy that she earned the nickname “your happy Tía,” by
filling every room with her iconic laughter.
Isela was a righteous daughter of God; she faithfully served at Cristo La Roca and First
Baptist Dallas Church for 26 years. She was a devoted Wife for 20 years. Isela was
deeply loved by her husband Noel. He accepted her and supported her as she filled his
life with warmth and unconditional love. As a mother, she put her children
first—encouraging them, guiding them with discipline and wisdom. She prayed for them
and taught them the ways of Jesus. She felt a deep pride for the men they are
becoming.
She loved her siblings and truly enjoyed being with them. She was kingdom-minded,
continuously blessing them and their children. As a good and faithful servant, she used
her gifts well—bringing people together through creativity, teaching, and storytelling.
She was known for her ability to teach and for the many stories she carried. knowing
how to shepherd and connect with others, she gathered family, friends, and those she
ministered to. Throughout her life, she exemplified and led many to the path of our good
and gracious God.
As part of her weekly devotions, the last verse she wrote in her kitchen reads:
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
So…
Let us praise Him in our sadness.
Let us praise Him for all the time we were blessed to have her by our side.
If Isela were here now, with her fashionable and trendsetting presence, she would tell us
to celebrate her life and remind us that even in our mourning, God is with us—For He is
close to the brokenhearted. She would encourage us to laugh, to keep pursuing our
dreams, and to embrace life as an adventure. Isela would want us to honor her by
gathering together in fellowship, just as she always cherished being with those she
loved, showing her beautiful and unwavering loyalty.
Isela’s love lives on through her husband Noel Robles Torres, and her sons, Nelson T.
and Nathan T., as well as her stepsons, Xavier T., Christian T., and Noel T.

Isela significa “roca”, “única” o “devota de Dios”.
Asímismo era ella. Ella fue la roca para mucho de nosotros, cubriendo nuestras
necesidades, celebrando y compartiendo la vida cotidiana. Ella siempre estaba
presente porque el gozo del Señor era su fortaleza. Corrió su carrera con
perseverancia. Era tan llena de alegría que se ganó el apodo de “la Tía Feliz” al llenar
la casa con su risa icónica.

Isela fue una hija justa de Dios, sirvió en la Iglesia Cristo la Roca y First Baptist Dallas
Church por 26 años. Ella fue una esposa devota que amó profundamente a su esposo
Noel durante 20 años. Él la aceptó tal como era y apoyó sus sueños en la vida mientras
ella llenaba su vida de calidez y amor incondicional. Como madre, ella ponía a sus hijos
primero—animándolos, guiándolos con disciplina y sabiduría. Oraba por ellos y les
enseñaba los caminos de Dios con much amor. Ella estaba profundamente orgullosa de
los hombres en los que se están convirtiendo.

Amaba a sus hermanas y hermanos que realmente disfrutaba estar con ellos. Tenía
una mentalidad centrada en el Reino de Dios. Cuando tenía la oportunidad los
bendecía continuamente a ellos y a sus hijos. Como una sierva buena y fiel, usó bien
sus dones—uniendo a las personas a través de la creatividad, la enseñanza y sus
cuentos chistosos. Era conocida por su capacidad de enseñar y por las historias
divertidas que compartía. Sabiendo cómo enseñar la palabra de Dios y conectar con
los demás, reunía a la familia, amigos y a aquellos a quienes ministraba. A lo largo de
su vida, ejemplificó y guió a muchos hacia el camino de nuestro Dios quien es bueno y
misericordioso.

Como parte de sus devociones semanales, el último versículo que escribió en su
cocina dice:
“Que todo lo que respira alabe al Señor.”
Así que…
Alabémoslo en nuestra tristeza.
Alabémoslo por todo el tiempo que fuimos bendecidos de tenerla a nuestro lado.
Si Isela estuviera aquí ahora, con su presencia elegante y marcadora de tendencias,
nos diría que celebremos su vida y nos recordaría que incluso en nuestro duelo, Dios

está con nosotros—Pues Él está cerca de los quebrantados de corazón. Nos animaría
a reír, a seguir persiguiendo nuestros sueños y a abrazar la vida como una aventura.
Desearía que la honráramos reuniéndonos en comunión, pues valoraba profundamente
estar con aquellos que amaba, con su hermosa lealtad incondicional.
El recuerdo de Isela y su grandioso amor vivirá para siempre a través de su esposo
